OUR CANCELLATION POLICY – Please read this carefully
If you must cancel a 14 day notice is required to receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee. If you cancel less than 14 days but more than 3 days to your arrival date, a gift certificate for the full deposit will be issued. If you must cancel in less than 3 days, you will lose your deposit with no refund or credit issued. Guests departing prior to the departure date will be charged for the remainder of their original reservation.

All floats involving Hammond Camp are assessed a $2 per boat fee required by the US Forestry Service.

RV Sites come with water, sewer and electric. There is a possibility that water, electric and sewer hookups may be on the wrong side of your camper so come prepared. Weekly rentals have a 2 week maximum stay with water front rentals or else you have to move your camper to a different spot. Monthly rentals DO NOT include waterfront sites during the months of May-September.
LODGING – 2 night minimum
No linen will be supplied for your stay. Please bring your own linen and towels. $30 non-refundable pet fee for pets inside cabins. No exceptions.

Floating rates include hauling watercraft and complimentary transportation for floaters and gear. We use quality watercrafts including canoes, 6 person rafts, kayaks and tandem (2 person) kayaks. One paddle and one personal flotation device is provided for each person. Our float day is 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon. through Thurs.) and a late fee of $20 per vessel per hour is charged after the scheduled pick-up time. Whether you float 5 miles or 15, our rates are all-inclusive, no hidden costs. Tax is not included.

Reservations

We suggest reservations be made as far in advance as possible. A deposit of 50% of the total cost of your trip is required to guarantee your reservation.

If you must bring your pet into one of our cabins an automatic charge of $30 per pet will apply.

In the event of heavy rains or high water, at Twin Bridges, rain checks will be issued at 12 noon on the day you are scheduled to canoe: heavy rains and high water conditions affecting other areas (ie., St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, etc.) typically do not affect our area. These rain checks may be used in the year they are issued.

Please Read Our Policies

  • All river activities are considered “at risk” sports – some dangers may exist. There are no lifeguards or safety personnel on the river at any time or any place – you are responsible for your safety – be aware of your surroundings at all times – flotation devices are available and will not prevent drowning.
  • You should be aware that obstructions exist in and around the river. Our maps, pointers and briefings may not be complete due to the constant changes that occur on the river everyday. We can only help you be aware of possible dangers and it is your responsibility to know your limits and say within them.
  • We encourage common sense, communication, flexibility, and appropriate reasoning. These factors diminish as alcohol and illegal drugs are consumed. Stay sober! Obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the premises.
  • Float plans cannot be changed after you leave the store. It is your responsibility to know your take out and pick up times. Do not go past your pick up point as further charges will occur. No cash refunds from purchases from the store.
  • The river is not your mother, it will not pick up after you. All trash must be secure in trash bags given to you. You will be fined by the Missouri Department of Conservation for any styrofoam or glass In your possession or trash that is not secure while on or around the river.
  • By renting our equipment, you agree to return property in good condition at the expiration of the rental period. You will be responsible for any damages that occur during your possession. If lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear – you will be charged the full value of the equipment.
  • Twin Bridges Canoe & Campground Inc. is not to be held responsible for any risks of harm, damage, injury (known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, non-use or misuse) of facilities and/or equipment offered or provided for our customers.
  • Missouri law requires all children under the age of 12 to wear U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times while in water anywhere on the river – any child found not wearing a life jacket will be told to get out of the water.
  • No underage drinking will be tolerated – law enforcement will be involved. Quiet time is 11pm – 7am and is strictly enforced – be considerate of your neighbors – any obnoxious behavior is not tolerated at any time.
  • Shoes are to be worn at all times to prevent injury.
  • No illegal drugs of any kind – you will be asked to leave.
  • No alcohol consumption allowed in or around the buses, store or loading/unloading zones.
  • No inappropriate language or behavior – we are a family oriented business and encourage clean humor and fun.
  • Do not litter – trash cans are provided – trash runs are daily by staff.
  • If you are told to leave our facility, refund will not be given.
  • No cans or bottles allowed in fire rings as they do not burn and can cause harm to others – place these items in trash cans provided.
  • Children are never to be left unattended at any time.
  • No aggressive pets allowed – you are responsible if your pet attacks a child, adult or another pet – all pets are required to be on a leash and in your possession at all times – damage or injuries sustained by your pet will be reported to authorities – current vaccines are required – barking dogs not tolerated.
  • The river has dangers – know your limits – there are poisonous snakes and other dangers present – never swim alone or leave children unattended – flotation devices are available in the store.
  • Check-in time is 3 pm. Check-out time is 11 am.
  • All rooms and cabins are all non-smoking – dispose of your cigarettes in appropriate containers – not on the ground.

Please note: our friends of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Douglas and Howell County Sheriff Departments and the Missouri Department of Conservation have the right to search the premises at any time.
